Whew, it's been a little while. I barely got this site off the ground in 2015 before I found an absolute dream job and put this blog & podcast on hold. From an online listing to a referral to two phone interviews, I was able to secure the position of Pro Scouting Coordinator with the LA Dodgers in 2016.

It was an incredible experience and one I plan to build upon. I got to work with the entire Pro Scouting staff of the Dodgers as well as get to know a number of scouts from other clubs as well. I wrote about 150 scouting reports on players from Rookie Ball up through AAA and the Majors.

I am no longer with the Dodgers, but still intend to evaluate players on my own. I am currently located in the San Francisco Bay Area, so geography will incline me to cover more of the High-A California League and AAA Pacific League.

In a future post, I will detail my decisions on what my reports will look like and how my grading scale will work.

Here's to 2017.
